SAG and NON-SAG talent welcome.
Story: Following the death of his mother, Sequan Greene moves from New York City to Jefferson, Alabama.

Although some of the characters advertised are minors, the film has some intense situations and we are hoping to find ADULT ACTORS, who can play high school.

LORI ANDERSON [LEAD], 17, Caucasian. A rebellious, coke-addicted teen from an affluent family. Lori finds herself involved in a horrific crime and cover-up, even as she befriends the lead, Sequan, and tries through him learns more about herself and the possibilities outside her small town. (Role requires some scenes of sexuality, drug use and violence.) Requires Nudity

MICHAEL WILLIS [LEAD], 17, African American. LuEllen’s son. High School basketball player. Imposing, bullying. An angry troubled young man in denial about his true self. (Role requires some scenes of sexuality, drug use and violence.) Requires Nudity

AHMED ROBINS [LEAD], 17. African American. Lori’s boyfriend, drug dealer and star High School basketball player. Suave and alluring to the ladies, Ahmed still has quite a temper and can be very dangerous.(Role requires some scenes of sexuality, drug use and violence.) Requires Nudity

LuELLEN WILLIS, Early 40s, African American. Sequan’s aunt. A single mother still damaged by her defunct marriage and mysterious past. Has taken on the responsibility of raising Sequan, the lead, after the death of his mother.

JAKE, 16, White. Lori’s brother. A young man ostracized in Jefferson for being Gay. Sensitive and literate. Through Lori, he meets Sequan, the lead, who is also gay.

LEMMINGS, late 40s, White. Principal of Jefferson High School and the focus of a police investigation. A polite Southern gentleman with secrets.

SHAWNA KING, 28, African-American. Wife of Charles King, the sheriff of Jefferson, Alabama. A children’s book author, she wants a quiet, simple life in Jefferson, but knows that is unlikely.

CHARITY WILLIS, 12, African American. LuEllen’s daughter. A sensitive preteen.

BILLY, 17, White. One of Ahmed’s clique. A loud-mouthed jerk with a propensity for trouble.

SKINNY TIM BUCHANAN, 18, African-American. One of Ahmed’s customers. An edgy, unpredictable young man.

RACINE, 18, African American. Tim Buchanan’s sister. Moody and Uncooperative.

COACH WILLIAMS, late 40s, African-American. Ahmed and Michael’s coach. A sensitive, but passionate man who wants the best for his players after they leave high school.
