Auditions for Mature Adult Male and Young-Looking Male or Female for NY Hall of Science Live Theater Production.
The New York Hall of Science is New York City’s hands-on science and technology center located in Queens.
The NY Hall of Science will be holding auditions for the upcoming Live! Science Theater’s production of Charlie and Kiwi’s Evolutionary Adventure which will run on weekends from May 23rd to August 16th, 2009.
Charlie and Kiwi’s Evolutionary Adventure is about a child named Charlie who, along with his Great Great Grandpa Charles, go back in time to find out why a Kiwi is unlike any other bird. (Non-musical)
Characters needed:
Great Great Grandpa Charles: (Caucasian, late 40’s to 70’s)
Similar to Charles Darwin, Charles is from the 1880’s and is very interested in birds, dinosaurs and evolution. Although slightly gruff, Charles is a strong supporter of individuality and using your head.
Charlie: (non-Caucasian; able to portray age 10-15, male or female)
Along with his stuffed Kiwi toy, Charlie goes back in time to find out why a Kiwi is unlike any other bird. A bit spunky and very smart, but also concerned about Kiwi being different then other birds.
Auditions by appointment on Saturday, May 2nd from 10am to 6pm.
First rehearsal on Tuesday, May 5th.
