Free Casting Calls and Auditions

This Saturday, Feb. 28th from 1-4 PM Miami International University’s
Masters Candidates will be having casting calls for their Thesis
projects. We will be casting for 4 separate films. Two of which will
be shot on film, the other two in HD. Each one will be shot within
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in May. We will be casting at the
school (1501 Biscayne Blvd Miami, FL 33132). Security on both sides of the building will be aware
you’re coming and will notify you as to the right room.

Each film is separated to show the parts for each:

Rocio – 24, hispanic, the understanding wife of the protagonist and a
brand new mother.
Rocio’s Mother – 58, a Mexican over-bearing matriarch.
The Ice Queen – 38, white, a tall bleach-blonde disciplinarian head nurse.
Security Guard – big, beafy, no-nonsense.
Old Joe – 83 (or elderly in general), white, suicidal, retired, escape artist
Pretty Nurse – 21, female, passive aggressive
Steven Stevens, 25, stiff, quick-tempered
Janice Stevens, 25, meek long suffering

If you do not feel right for these parts, but still have interest, we
highly encourage you to come and let us see what you can do. Also, if
you plan on coming we encourage you to email a specific time you plan
on coming so we can make sure your wait time is as minimal as
possible.

Being that we’re still students, we will unable to pay you for your
efforts, however, we will provide you with copies of the films for
your demo reels.
