CASTING CALL CATEGORY: SHORT STUDENT FILM
LOCATION: MIAMI, FL
My son is a short film about a boy who commits an act of violence towards a family member. This production is a non-paying gig but in return you will receive on screen credit plus a DVD of the film. This is a Miami Dade College Production but will be entered in film festivals and possibly go into distribution.
Vincent, a young boy, in order to survive, needs to do something that a person his age wouldn’t think of.
VINCENT – (From 8 to 12 or playing age around that)
Confused about what is going on with his life. He was abused by his mother
KATHY – (Late 20s to early 40s)
A widow who has turned her love for her son, into the love of the man that she would want
DETECTIVE MALONE – (Early 30s and above)
Strong and intimidating. Has been a desk detective for the past few years. Used to be top of his game and if he wants to get back to it, he needs to crack this case.
CAPTAIN – (Younger than 30)
Thinks that she is very good at her job but its not liked.
