LOCATION: MIAMI, FL
The School of Entertainment & Design Technology at Miami Dade College, North Campus, will be holding an open casting call for short films directed by talented young filmmakers. The films will be shot in the Miami area from February 12 to March 14, 2010.
Actors will receive on-screen credit and a DVD copy of the film.
The auditions will take place on Thursday, February 4, from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Miami Dade College, North Campus, Building 2, Room 2147. Please bring a photo/resume with you to the casting call. Below are brief description of the film and characters. Please email the director to set an appointment for Thursday’s audition.

FILM TITLE: “CHEATING DESTINY”
An Army veteran must come to grips with the things he witnessed in battle.
JEREMY BENNETT – (Early to late 30s)
Army veteran with strong demeanor. Feels guilty and is suicidal.
MATTHEW JOHNSON – (Mid 20s)
Enlisted army solider. Funny, strong and courageous.
MRS. JOHNSON – (Mid 20s to early 30s)
Widowed single mother. Strong-willed.
MATTEY JOHNSON – (7-9 years old)
Idolizes his father. Wants to be a hero when he grows up.
SOLDIERS – (20s)
Strong well built. Clean-cut and shaven.
