CHARACTER BREAKDOWN – SORROW
[Ana Salinas] She is a “Vannessa Ferlito type” character. Age [25-35] Attractive long brown hair, Female, Hispanic, 5”5 or taller, to play a Forensic Homicide Detective. Sexy, well toned body. Intelligent, witty, driven by her career. Motivated by ranks, close-minded. She is having an affair with colleague while engaged. But above any love in her life, her job is her main concern. Grew up in an Upper class family. Follows orders exactly, lacks imagination but not stupid. Hates getting in trouble. Overall kindhearted but stubborn.
[Officer Eztebas] Male, intelligent, sensitive Age [21-30] working class Police Officer, married with great personality.

In always doing the right thing. Intelligent businesswoman, who owns a strip club in the downtown sector. Octavia’s mother saves every penny, strong and supportive person never ashamed of any one even her own daughter.
[Chief of Police Gonzalez]
Hispanic, wonderful leader, community loves him. Several awards. Years as a police officer and recently Police Chief. Strong character with a conflicting past. Enjoyed sadomasochist magazines in the past. Ignores and carelessly abandons his son Dale and wife Mrs. Rogers who after divorce changes to her maiden name. Gonzales ends up with a family of his own when he moves from Houston, Texas he is very family oriented.
[Detective Borne] Age [40-60’s], Caucasian, Male 5’9 or taller. Acquaintances an old pal of Police Chief Gonzales. Old school, ahead of the game, years in the force. In shape, soft spoken. Seems like a good cop. Is blackmailed by Gonzalez to take part of a vengeance plot. Due to his past and evidence against him, is forced to help.

STORY BREAKDOWN – SORROW
Fieldhouse, Texas
October 12, 1992
Detective Salinas is involved in one of the worst discoveries ever in this small town. Police cars and ambulance surround the crime scene. Two corpses are found inside of accused serial killers.
Three weeks ago. La Sal, Utah. A woman by the name of Mila Sweeney is kidnapped while on the way to her mother’s house. Serial Killers at large are eluding the state troopers. One has just escaped a psychiatric ward. Group finds refuge in the outskirts of La Sal a small town.
Days later, Mila’s Mother comes, knocking at this house. Mila is inside. In front of her eyes, serial killers kill her mother. Then take poor Mila to their hometown in Texas where they keep her days on torturing her. The woman survives and eventually escapees.
Sorrow is a story about revenge. When a young woman takes matters into her hands to exact revenge on her mother’s killers. She is confronted with the results of her actions, as local police are moving in closer.
