Seeking Actors for Rice University Student Short Film (Houston, TX)
Casting Call Details:
Student crew from a Rice University Cinematography class are working on their final project of the year: a short film about a morbid family game night. We can’t offer any financial compensation, but we can offer meals and drinks on set during shooting.
We will be shooting on Saturday, April 14th (likely 8 am – 5 pm) with pickup shoots on Sunday, April 15th if necessary. We’ve got a great crew on board to make it look fantastic… definitely could turn out to be something for a demo reel.
Character Breakdown:
DAD. Male, 30-50. Leader of the family. Well-respected by his wife and children but sometimes dissatisfied with the tedium of home life.
MOM. Female, 30-50. Kind and loving mother. Always hoping to promote family togetherness. Maintains appearances.
HANGMAN. Male, 20-50. A terrified, bedraggled mess of a man who has been living in a closet as a prisoner for the last two years.
