A team of talented young students from the world-wide renowned and highly selective Graduate Film Program at UCLA are creating this 2 min story and shooting on 16mm. The director, Lauren Hoekstra, originally from South Africa but grown up in Italy, has won many prizes and awards, both for her writing skills and for her previous work as a director, including the BMW’s OneVision video competition.
Special Notes: 2 to 3 rehearsals are required. One-day shoot.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
ISABELLE
LEAD
Looking for petite, attractive, Latin American or white woman in her mid 20s. Must have dancing ability/background.
The character is a no nonsense woman with attitude but a sincere heart. She seeks intense emotions and passion with men that can’t seem to be true to her.
NORMAN
CO-STAR
Looking for a tall, lean/slim, good looking, white or Latin American man that can play a 35 year old and looks like a typical cowboy.
The character is a rough, masculine charmer with a inner sadness. This vulnerability and tenderness is masked by an aggressive, at times violent approach towards woman.
