Logline: A young lonesome boy who lives with his workaholic father ends up befriending a woman who lost her child

Seeking:

Looking for a violinist for Emma’s roll if possible (not mandatory)

DANIEL SMITH: Caucasian, 6-8 years old, lives with a father that doesn’t have time to pay attention to him due to his work. Daniel is his father’s only son. He has trouble communicating with other children. He is very timid but has a extravagant imagination. He spends most of his time alone with a baseball that he values most for company. He’s not sure what his relationship is with his father and his mother left the family when he was young. LEAD

NATHAN SMITH: 33, average, Caucasian, father of Daniel. He hardly has time to play with his son because he works 24/7. He is an executive businessman who has a stressful work load. He is more devoted to his work than his only child. He is afraid to admit his flaws of irresponsible parenting. He uses his work to get over the loss of his wife and never seems to be satisfied with his son’s intentions for companionship. SUPPORTING

EMMA WILSON: 36,average,Hispanic or Caucasian, recently lost her child to a tumor. She used to be a music teacher for her son’s elementary school. She lives alone with the music of her violin. She spends most of her time consumed with her despair of her loss. She values her son’s belongings and has kept his room exactly the way it was when he died. She is very introverted and has not opened up to anyone since her son died. SUPPORTING
