SEEKING-

GUY: MALE CAUCASIAN (26-29) Normal looking struggling journalist who after getting divorced has to move back to his small Midwest home town and back in with his corky parents. Among his two friends he reconnects with, he is the one that tried to grow up and had big aspirations. Still trying to become a successful journalist and have the wife and kids. Has taken a huge step backwards in life and is trying to get back on his feet by getting a job at the local paper. While struggling to nail down the job, complications with his old friends and family get in the way, which in the end remind him of who he is and what he really needs in his life.

ROB: MALE CAUCASIAN (26-29) One of Guy’s old friends from high school who once again becomes his right hand man when he returns home. Skinny, nerdy guy with a pony tail, still has the beginnings of ateenage mustache and a star wars fanny pack. Rob is the socially awkward one in the group who has no sense of style. Generally when he dresses he thinks it looks cool to imitate the style of dress in Star Wars or other movies in the same genre he is a fan of. Only technically inclined and does not have the best work ethic.

JASON: MALE CAUCASIAN (26-29) Another one of guy’s old friends from high school who he becomes buddies with after returning home. Jason is lazy, a little immature and a bit on the pudgy side with shorts, unkempt hair. He is a cocky guy with a big ego who enjoys doing things like stealing trophies from the high school. Although he is happy that he never left and enjoys living at home he is jealous of Guy because he got to experience life on his own outside of their small Midwest town.

RACHEL: FEMALE CAUCASIAN (25-29) Cute smart and successful pharmacist in town who Guy took to his Junior Prom. She is pissed at him because the night of the prom they got caught by her father making out in the driveway and instead of sticking around Guy ran off before her father could identify him, leaving Rachel alone in the car to face her dad. Think Jenna Fischer who plays Pam in the NBC show “The Office”.

TOM: MALE CAUCASIAN (26-29) Rachel’s fiancé who resembles a jcrew model. Tom is a successful entrepreneur who is handsome, in great shape and clean cut. Looking at him and Rachel together you wouldnever think they were a couple. This is the type of successful man that Guy wants to be and the type of guy that her dad wants her to be with.

RICHARD: MALE CAUCASIAN (60-65) Rachel’s dad who owns the newspaper (The Herald) where Guy wants to be on staff as a writer. He is a handsome successful businessman who is in great shape. Although his hair has some grey or is all grey it makes him look distinguished and only adds to his good looks. If you saw him and Tom together you would think they were father and son in personality and looks (older version of Tom.) Think Tom Selleck in “Friends”.

GUY’S MOM: FEMALE CAUCASIAN (58-62) Typical suburban housewife who’s excited to take care of Guy again now that he’s back in town. She is corky and goofy. It is clear she has been locked in the house too long knitting and cleaning.

GUY’S DAD: MALE CAUCASIAN (62-68) Fun and Loving father who stillworks at the same cola/soda company that he has for the past 30 years. He’s tall and thin and a bit nerdy compared to guy and he’s a good father but doesn’t really get along with his wife too well as they’ve been under the same roof for just too long.

ED: MALE CAUCASIAN (44-48) Editor and chief at the Herald. Balding short fat guy who has a bunch of kids and a wife. When he is at work he has a hard time concentrating as his mind is always somewhere (i.e. what his plans are for the weekend, what he is having for dinner).

JANITOR: MALE ALL ETHNICITIES (55-60) Bitter school janitor has worked at the school for over forty years and that the kids hate except for maybe the school nerds or outcasts who show him respect. He takes pride and joy in keeping the school spotless.

POLICEMAN: MALE CAUCASIAN (40-50) Handsome police officer who is in good shape with that chiseled chin look. He is a cop on the beat. He stops the guys on the night they steal a trophy from school and Jason successfully does the Jedi mind trick on him.
