Casting call for SAG Ultra Low Budget Feature Film “Look Both Ways”
Shoots End of June, 2009.
Casting:
Blake: Male, Mid 30s, Caucasian. Has slightly lost his way. His marriage to Lisa is drifting to the point that he loses her to a close friend she finds comfort and love in. He starts to see Michelle, a random, drunk hook up that goes longer than it should. Works at the front desk of the Hollywood Youth Hostel.
Takashi: Male, Mid to Late 30s, Japanese. A very muscular built man with black hair with blonde streaks. Was in a car accident that left him in a coma for three years. He’s a very quiet and introverted man who rarely shows expression on his face.
Julio: Male, Early to Mid 20s, Mexican. A young man eager to work and earn money for his wife and child back in Mexico City. A good work ethic and a desire to not fail the ones he loves.
Guy: Male, Early to Mid 20s, British. Young, arrogant man who believes the world is his playground. A transient man who gets by day to day. Ruggedly handsome even though he takes a beating often for his actions. He is the definition of the word womanizer.
Sandra: Female, 20s, Open Ethnicity. Currently is staying at the Hollywood Youth Hostel. Attractive and caring.
Michelle: Female, Late 20s, Open Ethnicity. She is a dark haired, exotic beauty that Blake meets at a bar while the two are extremely drunk and lonely on New Years. An instant, physical connection causes Blake to stray from his current relationship with Lisa to have a fling with her.
Toma: Male, 15-20, Armenian. Nephew of Kamar, finds his uncle in the street suffering from a heart attack.
Krishna: Male, 50s, East Indian. The owner of the Bombay Star Indian Restaurant that Julio, Spikey, Jose, and Guy all work at.
Jacob: Male, Late 20s, Open ethnicity. Close friends with Blake and Lisa. Falls in love with Lisa and they end up starting a relationship together despite the friendship lose between him and Blake.
Lisa: Female, 30s, Open ethnicity. A beautiful woman who is Blakes wife. Fears of her relationship failing with Blake force fccher hand into the discussion of starting a family to make things right. Eventually her attempts fail and she falls for Jacob, Blake and Lisa’ close friend.
Jose: Male, Early 30s, Mexican. A tough looking guy with lots of tattoos. Has connections around town and sets Julio up with a passport, place to stay, and a job. Seems nice but carries resentment towards Julio when Julio doesn뭪 participate in the dishwashers strike.
Armenian Grocer: Male, Open Age, Open Ethnicity. Works at the grocery store. Runs a honest business.
Jackie: Male, 40-60s, Hispanic. Street peddler who sells green cards illegally.
Kamar: Male, 40-60s, Armenian. Shady Armenian man who is selling back Guys passport to Julio.
