NANCY MURPHY & ROBERT BOB MURPHY: Mid to Late-40s. Emily’s parents. Dad is lovable, slightly nerdy and a kid at heart; loves holidays and travel, and is eagerly planning for his retirement. Mom is warm and intelligent and the more practical as between the two. They live together in a nice, upper middle-class suburban neighborhood.
