Rehearsals begin in October and early November (schedules vary); the show runs through the end of December/early January in various cities including, NYC, Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; and Nashville, TN. All performers must be 18+ to audition, except for children performers who must be the ages specified. All performers must currently be legally permitted to work in the United States. Tutoring is provided for all children. Madison Square Garden Entertainment is committed to racially diverse casting for all roles.
Seeking-Rockettes: must be between 5’6” and 5’10 1/2” (measurements will be taken) and must be proficient in jazz and tap; Dancers: male and female must be proficient in jazz and ballet; for female dancers, pointe work is a plus but not required; Male and Female Singers Who Dance Well: must be able to sing and dance well and learn choreography; Male and Female Vocalists: strong singers for multi-racial ensemble vocal group, must have great voice and style with a wide vocal range, be proficient at singing close harmonies and be able to move well; Little People Performers: Adults 4’10” and under, must be athletically fit and able to move well to music and project their voice; Children: boys 7-14 and girls 10-14, must be 4’10” or under (measurements will be taken), both boys and girls must have some jazz dance ability, in addition, girls must be strong in ballet and have at least one year of experience en pointe; girls should look more like little girls than young women. Patrick: Older Brother, should look 13-14 years old. A typical teenage boy with a little tough, “too cool for school” edge. Seeking an excellent actor with a strong pop tenor voice. Voice must already have changed. Ben: Younger Brother, should look 5-6 years old but we would prefer a young looking 7-8 year old. Cute/ charming/ a good actor/ no singing. Both Patrick and Ben roles require “flying” above the stage.
