Performances are Wed.-Sat. at 8pm, and Sun. at 4pm for 5 weeks, 10/22 to 11/23/08
SYNOPSIS: It’s hate at first sight when Lily, a formidable retired woman, hires Michael, an acerbic ex-Broadway chorus boy, to give her private dance lessons in her Florida condo. As Michael teaches Lily to dance, they both learn some unexpected lessons in life. Part comedy, part drama, part cha-cha-cha.
Seeking:
Seeking understudies only–understudies need not be present at performances unless they are called to go on in the role. Understudies guaranteed 10 hours of rehearsal. The male understudy will be performing on the Wed. Oct. 29th preview; the female understudy is not guaranteed any performances.
LILY HARRISON: She is an attractive and agile retired school teacher, age 72. She is assertive, a woman of character and strength, both physical and emotional. Dance background preferred. (Constance Towers is cast.)
MICHAEL MINETTI: He is an acerbic former Broadway dancer, attractive, age 40 but trying to look younger. Great energy and sharp wit. Dance background preferred. (Jason Graae is cast, but the understudy will be performing the role on Wed. Oct. 29th preview.)
