[NICKY] Early 20’s. LATINA. In love with her girlfriend JACKIE. Confused, yet intelligent, grew up in a tough neighborhood, yet able to survive. Confident with her choice of intimate relationship with her girlfriend, does not pay attention to outside judgment. A rebel to her sister, a successful attorney who broke out of the urban lifestyle. She should be able to play a broad range of emotions. You want to like this woman and identify with her. Prefer Theatre trained actors! Great part!

[JACKIE] Early to late 20’s. LATINA. In love with her girlfriend NICKY. Leader, makes harsh choices! Strong witted Character, but vulnerable at times. Confident with her choice of intimate relationship with her girlfriend, strong rejection expressions to the outside world. She should be able to play a broad range of emotions. You want to like this woman and identify with her. Prefer Theatre trained actors! Great part!

[CHRISTOPHER] Early to late 20’s. LATINO. Hard thug Gangster who doesn’t care much for his neighborhood. Controls town with fear, heartless, a character with no warmth, selfishness. He should be able to play a broad range of emotions. Prefer Theatre trained actors! Strong part!

[DETECTIVE ROMERO] 30’s- 40′S. LATINO. Overworked, over burned Detective who hates his day to day job. has seen it all, show’s little or no emotions on catastrophic events, but gets to him when it comes to personal problems. Juggling an alcoholic wife, stressful job, love affair with defense attorney, training new partner. Think of him like Macke from THE SHIELD. He should be able to play a broad range of emotions. Prefer Theatre trained actors! Strong part!

[MARICELA] 30’s- 40′S. LATINA. Nicky’s older sister. Successful attorney that broke out of the urban crowd. Always on top of her sister, pressuring her to break the glass of thug life. Does not approve the relationship between her sister and Jackie. Has an affair with Detective Romero. She should be able to play a broad range of emotions. Prefer Theatre trained actors!

[CLAUDIA] 30’s- 40′S. LATINA / ANGLO. Detective Romero’s wife. Alcoholic, always seeking attention. Can’t control her emotions, always drunk, always in self-explode. She should be able to play a broad range of emotions. Prefer Theatre trained actors!

STORY LINE: From award winning filmmaker Kenneth Castillo comes the third installment of the DRIVDE-BY CHRONICLE SERIES. Known for his work on character development, this character driven piece is sure to generate buzz around the Latino festival outlets.

Drive-By Chronicles: NICKY & JACKIE; a tale of two lovers caught in between a harsh world of cruelty. They force themselves into a spiral fall when they purposely rob a local thug/drug dealer from a corrupt church. Not knowing the consequences for their actions, they carefully plan out an escape plan, but things turns sour, heading to a tragic ending.
