“Cold Case” from CBS now casting several roles

“Cold Case”, the long-running detective show from CBS, is now casting
several roles for a new episode filming in November.

From the producer of “CSI”, this show is about a Philadelphia homicide
squad that focuses on “cold cases”, which are older crimes that have
never been solved.

The episode casting this week is called “The Good Soldier”.

“Cold Case” stars Kathryn Morris and Thom Barry. It is being written
by Meredith Stiehm and Liz Garcia.

The show is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Tyler Bensinger,
Meredith Stiehm, and Jonathan Littman for Warner Brothers Television
and CBS.

CASTING:

KIRSTEN DONNELLY
Any ethnicity, 20s – 30s. Kirsten is an attractive, friendly, and somewhat flirtatious woman who was once married to Mike Donnelly. There is something mildy suspicious about her under the surface. Her husband was killed in a crime that occurred in Philadelphia after he got back from serving in the military. Kirsten seems very helpful when police detectives later ask her questions
about her husband’s activities in the week before his murder. However,
it turns out that Kirsten is not revealing one major secret: that she was romantically involved with her husband’s colleague Sergeant Gomez shortly before her husband was killed.
CO-STARRING ROLE

MRS. HARKIN
Any ethnicity, Late 30s – 40s. Mrs. Harkin is the caring, empathetic, old-fashioned, and proud mother of the young athlete David Harkin. Her son is recruited into the military, and she is extremely concerned for his well-being while he is gone.
Mrs. Harkin is emotionally devastated when she learns that her son has been killed in the war. When she attends his funeral with her husband Jerry, she is
calmed by the touching conversation she has with Mike.
CO-STARRING ROLE

VICTORIA M.
Latina, 18 – 20s. Victoria is a troubled, conflicted, and angry young woman from the tough part of Philadelphia. She grew up in a violent home and many of her peers are engaged in crime. But Victoria gets recruited by Mike Donnelly to join the military, and she soon seems to clean up her act. But it turns out that she is part of a robbery soon after she returns from the war, and she ends up killing
Mike Donnelly in the process.

CELESTE COOPER
Caucasian, 40s – 50s. Celeste is an all-American, traditional, and cheerful housewife whose son is dating a street-smart young woman named Lilly. While Celeste’s husband does not approve of Lilly, Celeste does her best to make her comfortable in their home. Lilly is somewhat confrontational at the dinner table, and it starts to bother Celeste after a while. But she continues to give her a chance to become part of the family.

MIKE DONNELLY
Any ethnicity, Mid 20s – 30s. Mike is a fearless, athletic, and very patriotic soldier for the Army who is highly respected by his fellow soldiers. He has been decorated on many occasions for the time that he was stationed in Afghanistan. Mike has since become an enthusiastic military recruiter in Philadelphia, and
has been able to get many kids off the streets when they joined the Army. But Mike is suddenly killed one night, and it soon turns out that his life may not have been as spotless as people believed.

DAVID HARKIN
Any ethnicity, 18 – 20s. David is a clean-cut, smart, and promising high school student who becomes friends with a charismatic military recruiter named Mike. He has a great grade point average and hopes to get into a prestigious college. His father has high hopes for him. David soon finds himself convinced by Mike to join the Army and fight in Afghanistan.

BOBBY “BUMPER” KEARNS
African-American, 20s. Bobby is a tough, courageous, and loyal guy who grew up on the streets of Philadelphia. He has a history of petty crimes from when he was younger but he has now gotten past that phase of his life. Bobby joined the military and was stationed overseas during the Afghanistan conflict, and has now
returned home. When he gets back to the United States, he is saddened to learn that his friend Mike Donnelly has suddenly been killed. Bobby convinces the police to re-examine the murder case, but he soon ends up becoming a suspect in it.
CO-STARRING ROLE

JERRY HARKIN
Any ethnicity, Late 30s – 40s. Jerry is a strict, confrontational, old-fashioned, and yet concerned father whose son has been recruited into the military. Jerry was originally upset at the military recruiter who convinced his son to join the Army. His son is soon killed fighting in Afghanistan, and Jerry is completely
distraught. But he insists that he has no hard feelings toward the man who recruited his son to join the fighting.
PRINCIPLE ROLE

TREY “MEATHEAD” N.
African-American, 18 – Mid 20s. Trey is a combative, confused, and troubled kid from the tough part of Philadelphia. While he is considering to pursue a respectable career in the military, there is also part of him that is tempted to become a professional thief. He soon chooses the latter route and ends up in
prison. Trey is questioned about the killing of Mike Donnelly and he tries to pass the blame onto someone else.

SERGEANT MAJOR DANIEL GOMEZ
Latino, 30s – 40s. Sergeant Gomez is a hard-working and disciplined former colleague of Mike Donnelly, the military recruiter who was killed. Though Sergeant Gomez is called as a witness in the investigation of Donnelly’s murder, we soon learn that Sergeant Gomez had an affair with Donelly’s wife.
