Casting student comedy “Tangled”
Project Notes: It is about a young business woman who is anal retentive and a bit stiff, never loses her composure. She has a regular everyday morning ritual until she gets down to the day her period starts and she has run out of undergarments because she is too busy to get her laundry done and she has to wear a pair of novelty thongss that a former girlfriend gave her. The other problem is the panites are way too small. This is a comedy that is told from the angle of the thong.
Story Line: The Day in the life of a business woman, from the perspective of her thong.
Bella – Lead / FEMALE / 27 TO 35 / African American, Asian, Black – White Mix, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Native American
Helpful Skills – comedic talent and the ability to do physical comedy
A bit anal retentive but focused, she is in line to become a partner at the equity firm she is employed at. She is a woman who came from modest beginnings but has grown into the no nonsense business woman she is today. She rarely loses it, but she is pushed to her limits. Sexy but only shows it around her girlfriend, otherwise she is all work and no play.
There is a makeout scene between Bella and Tony (her girlfriend) that involves some kissing and touching.
Mr. Burger – Co-Star / MALE / 50 TO 65
Easy going boss of Bella but he is also a no nonsense individual. He is on the verge of a major acquisition and is focused on that meeting. Bella is his go to girl, his favorite but he would sacrifice her in a second to make more money.
Not a scrooge but an astringent mogul type.
Tony – Co-Star / FEMALE / 21 TO 30
Bella’s girlfriend. A femme fatale type, erotic but clean. Fashionista and a little girly but the dominate partner in the relationship. She is the only one that sees the other side of Bella. She is a bit younger than Bella and doesn’t take life as serious. A “glass is half full” type of girl.
There is a makeout scene between Bella and Tony that involves some kissing and touching.
The Thong – (See Below) / MALE / 21 TO 35
This would be the voice of “The Thong”. The ideal accent would be an african american gay man that is over the top flamboyant and has great comedic talent.
