Casting for Short Film “Child’s Play” in Pasadena, CA

Synopsis:
Child’s Play is a short family comedy that explores the corrupting influence of absolute power on children. Sissy Summers, an innocent eight year old girl terrorized by her older brother and abused by their deadbeat babysitter, takes a dip into the dark side when she discovers that her beloved uncle’s birthday gift has given her the power to control the people around her.

Principal Roles:

Sissy Summers – 6-10 – Caucasian
Innocent and precocious. Sissy’s the kind of girl you’d least expect to break the rules or capitalize on the misfortune of others.

Guss Summers – 9-13 – Caucasian
The evil older brother. Guss likes to terrorize Sissy and get away with it. Weapon of choice – sling shot.

Gillian – 17-23 – College Aged – Caucasian
Gillian Anderson is a deadbeat babysitter who has no illusions about her job. She works for the money despite her loathing for children, especially babies.

Lizzie Summers – Infant/Toddler
Cute, capable of crying on cue.

Audition Schedule – Mid-Late Oct 2009
Estimated Shoot Date/Location: Early, Mid November, Pasadena, CA

Compensation: Transportation expenses, meals, and DVD copy for reel. Will be seeking submission to festivals. Considering both non-union and SAG actors (under short film agreement).
