CASTING CALL CATEGORY: SHORT FILM
General story: A boy repeatedly rides across an old lady’s lawn, taunting her. The old woman gets her revenge when the boy falls into a trench. The old woman sweetly talks to the boy inside the whole, cursing at him like a sailor. All profanity will be bleeped in the final version for added comedic impact.
Special Notes: One day shoot. One day rehearsal.
CASTING:
CHARACTER 1: A lovely old woman, grandmother type. Prim and proper with pearl choker. Sweet as can be. Actress should be able to play 70 plus. Must have impeccable comedic timing. Less is more approach.
CHARACTER 2: As written, a 12-year-old boy… could be 10-14… needs to be obnoxious and loud, a demonstrative smart-ass. If he can pop a wheeely on a bike it’s a plus, but not a deal breaker.
