AN AVERAGE AMERICAN MARRIAGE - STORYLINE - A comedy/drama set in a Westwood apartment where a beautiful WASP falls head over heels in love with a black singer and marries him in less that twenty-four hours. Much to the chagrin of her fiancee and friends. Her insecurity and his inability to make love to her, lead her to insist they see a marriage counselor.
Seeking:
AMY COUSINS: 30 - 36 White/Caucasian Female. Operates a boutique on Melrose Avenue. Elizabeth’s long-time friend. She is very protective and extremely concerned at Elizabeth’s hasty decision to marry a man she knows nothing about. Frequent spats with her boyfriend, (Preston), lead her to spend several nights per week on Elizabeth’s couch. Now, with Elizabeth’s marriage, she has lost her couch away from home.
DIANE YOUNG: 30 - 36 Black/African American Female. Gorgeous. Andrew’s ex-girlfriend. Her six months of supporting Andrew has resulted in her cutting him off. She insists he get a real job and stop living off women. “Be a man or get out. Hearing of his new marriage, she sets out to warn his new wife.
DALE ROGGIN: 35 - 45 White/Caucasian Male. Handsome. Upwardly mobile real estate executive. Shrewd, subtle, self-centered individual. A womanizer who genuinely loves Elizabeth but cannot change his ways and cultivate one relationship.
