This is a student project from the course “Directing actors for the screen” of UCLA Extension.
We’re doing a scene from the movie “STRANGER THAN FICTION”
featuring Will Ferrell, Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

We’ll also rehearse prior the class for several times and present it in front of the class.

KAY, 40s, female writer, who’s currently been through writer’s block. She’s skinny, unstable and vulnerable. She always gives people with a feeling of distance.
PLOT2:
PENNY, 30-40s, writer’s assistant. She’s professional and confident with a formidable, stern looking.
