ALWAYS & FOREVER is the story of a 15-year-old girl named Alma, who goes on
a journey to Tijuana to prepare for her quinceañera. When Alma learns that
her favorite singer Adán Sánchez has been killed, it triggers painful
feelings of loss, forcing Alma to come to terms with her own memories of
growing up without a father. Always & Forever is a celebration of music,
Mexico, friendship and family.

ALMA: “The Quince Girl”
15, Female, Latina, bratty but smart and sensitive.
Loves banda music and has a crush on Adán Sánchez.
JOSÉ: “The Political Activist”
20s, Male, Latino, Celia’s boyfriend. Into MEChA and
social justice. Wants to live in Mexico.
OLIVIA: “The Artsy Photographer”
20s, Female, African-American. Celia’s best friend.
Artsy, warm, loving and intelligent. Narrates the story.
CELIA: “The Bossy Sister”
20s, Female, Latina. Alma’s big sister. Loves Alma,
but is angry with their father. Takes care of the family.
RUDY: “The Morrissey Fan”
20s, Male, Latino. Alma’s big brother.
Rockabilly/“Greaser” type. Doesn’t know how to tell his
friends that he was in love with Boxer’s brother.
BOXER: “The Homeboy”
20s, Male, Latino. Ex-Gangster. Has a magic gift for
fixing low-rider cars. His brother was killed in Iraq.
