Seeking actors for the upcoming play “Over The River and Through The Woods”
Spotlight Theatre (a new theatre in Allen) is holding auditions for the upcoming play “Over The River and Through The Woods”.
Location: Spotlight Theatre, 109 N. Greenville Ave, Suite: B, Allen, Texas 75002
Synopsis: “My grandparents firmly believed in the three “f’s” of life: family, faith and food.” Nick, a single Italian American, is offered fulfilled dreams and a new life in Seattle. His traditional Italian grandparents propose a compelling reason to stay in New Jersey – the lovely and single Caitlin O’Hare. Their weekly Sunday dinners turn into a comic dance, as the entire family tries to influence Nick’s choice.
We are casting for the following roles: Aida Gianelli - Nick’s Maternal Grandmother, East coast, Italian-American Accent - 55+ FemaleFrank Gianelli - Nick’s Maternal Grandfather, East Coast, Italian-American Accent - 55+ Male
Nunzio Cristano - Nick’s Paternal Grandfather, East Coast, Italian-American Accent - 55+ Male Emma Cristano - Nick’s Paternal Grandmother, East Coast, Italian-American Accent - 55+ FemaleNick Cristano - Grandson, light East Coast accent. Late 20’s to early 40’s Male.
Caitlan O’Hare - 20’s Female, light East Coast accent.
The show runs July 31st - August 24th. 16 performances. Rehearsals start July 7th. Actors are paid a contractual stipend. Tech week runs July 26th - July 30th with opening night July 31st. Actors should call 972-649-6140 (theatre) between 1PM and 5 PM any day to schedule an audition or send resume and photo to epecikonis@spotlightallen.com. Auditions are June 30th through July 3rd.
