No compensation. We want to make this an enjoyable and beneficial experience for everyone involved. We will do everything we can to take care of the actors and crew, including catering and break facilities. Everyone involved will receive a DVD of the short film, and will be given an official credit for the production. Our intention is to premiere this at our local North Lake Videofest, as well as distribute to as many film festivals and production companies as possible.

Synopsis:
WW2. Poland. A Jewish family, at home during the celebration of Purim, is confronted by a small NAZI infantry patrol. They come under attack and struggle to survive, until help arrives from an unusual source. The story is intended for mature audiences PG 13 – R

Character BIOS:
ESTHER: GENDER: FEMALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE: 14-16
Esther is a Jewish heroine. She is a girl who has learned to live alone and to defend herself after suffering the loss of her family. This is a non-speaking role, but pivotal to the story. This role requires some athletic ability.
NAZI INSPEKTOR FLEISCHER, GENDER: MALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE: 40ish
Fleischer is a Nazi Inspector, a military man. He is part of the Gestapo. His job is to hunt down and eradicate Jewish people. The role will require some physical ability. The actor must be able to portray a harsh, condescending man who is cold blooded. German speaking preferred (not mandatory)
NAZI SERGEANT DIETRICH, GENDER: MALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE: 20-30ish
Dietrich is the second in command behind Inspector Fleischer. He assists Fleischer in the interrogation and killing of Jewish people. This role will require physical ability, and the ability to work with a child actress age 6 in a dramatic action scene. German speaking preferred (not mandatory)
2 NAZI PATROLMEN: GENDER, MALE, CAUCASIAN AGE 20-30ish
These are patrolman under the direction of Inspector Fleischer. These roles will require physical ability for combat sequences. German speaking preferred (not mandatory)
AVI RENDENSTEIN: GENDER, MALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE 45ish
A Jewish man with a wife and two kids. His family is trying to survive in increasingly hostile times, and under the persecution of the Nazi regime. This role will require physical ability in a combat sequence. Yiddish preferred (not mandatory)
BASHE RENDENSTEIN: GENDER, FEMALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE 45ish
A Jewish woman with a husband and two kids. She is strong willed and protective over her family. The role will require some physical ability. Yiddish preferred (not mandatory)
CHAYYIM RENDENSTEIN: GENDER, MALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE 12ish
A Jewish boy and brother to Eidel, his sister. He is devoted to his family, but very young, inexperienced. This role will require physical ability for a combat sequence.
EIDEL RENDENSTEIN: GENDER, FEMALE, CAUCASIAN, AGE 6ish
She is the youngest of the family. A typical 6 year old girl. This role will require physical ability in a key combat/hostage sequence. The actress must be not be afraid of being held at “fake†knifepoint, and must be able to convey fear. Yiddish preferred (not mandatory)
