African-American Female, Age 25-35 for lead (”Chioma”) in feature film
MUST HAVE STRONG RESUME AND BE ABLE TO PLAY A LEAD
MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK WITH A NIGERIAN ACCENT
MUST BE AVAILABLE AND CAN BE READY TO SHOOT MARCH 17-APRIL 4

– Project will be shot in Southern Maryland & DC. We’ll accept
submissions from local and non-local talent (although we prefer
local), as long as you meet the above criteria.
– Paid the equivalent of ultra low-budget scale, and the shoot is
approximately 14-16 days
SYNOPSIS: A story about the power of agape love. Chioma arrives in
America from Africa to surprise her fiancйe only to get the biggest
shock of her life: he’s moved on and no longer has any interest in her
whatsoever. He’s found riches and glamour in America and has become a
certified, flamboyant playboy. Out of his warped sense of magnanimity,
Victor allows Chioma to stay in his mansion as one of his household
staff till she can find suitable accommodation. Chioma is not moved by
the indignity of becoming a servant to her fiancйe, she’s only happy
and content to be near her soul mate even if he doesn’t know it, yet.
However, before Victor comes back from one of his numerous business
trips, Chioma is thrown out of the house by Dallas, Victor’s newest
sweetheart, a jealous, manipulative, gold digger, who later falsely
accuses him of rape. All is good weather friends, desert him, the only
saving grace for Victor from certain conviction and a lengthy jail
time is Chioma’s unconditional love. Somehow she finds a way to get
the evidence that proves Victor’s innocence, that’s when he realizes
that his life is nothing without her but it may just be too little,
too late.
