Looking for a male actor between the ages of 30-45 to portray a father of two in a short film titled “Pictures”
My name is Jhovanni Linares and I am a second year film student at Columbia College Chicago.
I am looking for a male actor between the ages of 30-45 to portray a father of two in a short film titled “Pictures”. This film will be shot in 16mm color film with sound. I am looking to shoot Thursday, April 30th, 2009 between 9am and 5pm. “Pictures” will take place nearby Chinatown; you will be responsible for your own transportation. Compensation for the role will be $25 for 2-3 hours and meals paid throughout the day.
Looking for dedicated actors interested in possibly getting exposure in film festivals as well as adding experience to their film reel. If interested, please send a headshot along with your resume (if available) by Wednesday afternoon. This role will be first come, first serve. Late submissions will not be rejected however it is preferred that you give at least one days notice if you are interested in the role.
My experiences as a director include a short film, “Pianist Arpeggio”, running time 5 minutes and 26 seconds, which was screened at the “ Miami International Film Festival, Chicago Latino Film Festival and received “Best In Show” at the Latino Art Beat 2006, “Practice Room # 3”, running time 22 minutes, which received a scholarship award at “ Latino Art Beat” in 2007.
This story is about a young girl going through an awkward stage in her life, she is looking for a grown up relationship, something to prove that she is a woman and not a child. She finds herself making a fake MySpace page in order to lure a man. She meets a seemingly older 27 year old man (which in reality is a 40 year old father of two). She soon realizes growing up isn’t all it’s made up to be.
