Actors needed for short film “All You Can Eat”
PROJECT: “ALL YOU CAN EAT”
CASTING CALL CATEGORY: NON-UNION SHORT FILM
LOCATION: CHICAGO, IL
We are still looking to cast some supporting roles as well as many extra and featured extra parts.
We are in need of talented actors who are looking to add some film experience to their resumes. This is a no-pay, non-union gig, but all actors will receive a dvd copy for use on their film reel. The shooting schedule is very light, so it should be a great opportunity to gain film experience without a huge time commitment.
ALL YOU CAN EAT: BREAKDOWN
A mockumentary style look at the exploits of Rudy Gulock, a self-described “eating champion” who makes a grab for glory at the Great Wisconsin Hot Dog Bowl.
Available roles:
Ted is 18-30 years old. Lanky and at least 6′ tall, preferably taller. He is Rudy’s right-hand man and does whatever Rudy pleases. Blasé and aloof, Ted thinks very highly of himself, but really isn’t much of anything. He thinks he’s very fashionable, but misses all the time. His relationship with Rudy co-dependent: Ted’s the only person who will listen to Rudy. Likewise, Rudy is the only person who will hang out with Ted. (Note: as far as the look I’m going for, think Jon Heder).
Hootchies: Three white females. At least two of three must be willing to kiss other women.
Referee: Older gentleman, 50s-60s, with graying or white hair. Positive demeanor.
Shaggy-haired family: A mom and two kids, including shaggy-haired boy.
Shaggy-haired boy: Cute kid with shaggy blonde hair. Very Norman Rockwell.
Homeless Man: Middle-aged homeless man, can be black, white or Hispanic. Worn down by the world.
White Castle Manager: Indian man, any age.
Ben from Wisconsin: Asian, 20s-30s, smaller build. Actual experience in competitive eating a plus.
We need extras for the following scenes:
GREAT WISCONSIN HOT DOG BOWL – 30 extras, mixed bag, must look like they’d be interested in going to a hot dog eating contest. At least 5-6 of these people must be of Asian descent. The rest, as Americana looking as possible.
SUBWAY scene – At least 5-6 people.
