Toronto, Ontario Casting Calls: Non Union Casting for a French Wine Commercial

Toronto, Ontario Commercial Auditions:
Synopsis/special Note: The commercial opens with traditional French music in the background under a billboard on black: “The French Lesson” We cut to three attractive, elegant women sitting at a table, laughing and having fun and drinking wine, in a traditional Parisian style café. The women are well dressed and attractive, and one of the women is French, and very comfortable in her surroundings. She and the other women notice an attractive man standing across the café at the bar counter/table. He is drinking a glass of wine and he lifts it as if to say hello. He smiles at the French woman and she smiles back. Suddenly his date appears, and they welcome each other at the table. One of the French woman’s friends looks at her and shrugs as if to say “oh well, he’s taken” But the French women doesn’t want to give up yet – she observes the man’s date noticing that her confidence and style is a little clumsy, without finesse. She watches as the man’s date aggressively and awkwardly kisses him. The kiss lacks elegance or sophistication. With a glint in her eye, the French woman smiles, stands up, and leaves her table headed towards the couple. Her friends watch her walk towards them, wondering what she is going to do. The man, still holding his glass of wine, is taken by surprise as the French woman walks over, gently pushes aside his date and kisses him on the lips, with a long, soft sensuous French kiss. She then pulls back, looks intensely in his eyes and without loosing her gaze, she takes the wine from his hand, sips it, and says to him: “Good choice… (briefly glances at his date)…in the wine that is”. She returns the glass to the man, turns and walks away as the man and his date watch in disbelief. The camera pans gently to his bottle of wine on the table as she walks out of frame. We then see her confidently rejoin her friends at their table – who are amused at what has just occurred. Camera is now on wide shot, then close up as we see that her table is also en joying a bottle of wine. She sits down, holds up the glass of wine, tips the glass to the man who is still starring at her in shock and says “Vive la vie”. As the scene fades a billboard then comes up with call to action: How French is YOUR French kiss?
