Open Casting Call for Short Student Film “Agosto” (Boston, MA)
We are looking for an male actor (55-75), a female actor (55-75), three young male actors (8-12), and extras for a student film.
Agosto, an elderly man battling Alzheimer’s, is trying to make sense out of his new reality. He cannot always distinguish his memories from the present and as a result he becomes increasingly irritable. But ultimately, he is more vulnerable than he is frustrated, and cherishes the little moments of clarity and remembrance in this confusing new world.
Maria is Agosto’s wife. At first, glimpsing into her life and her relationship with her ill husband she appears indifferent, even cold. Later we come to understand her constant struggle and her desire to love the man who is slipping away.
