Casting for Harvard Thesis Film – Cambridge, MA

We are casting five roles for a Harvard thesis film to be shot in January 2011. The story centers around Reid, a has-been graphic novelist who now works as a small-town police sketch artist. Desperate for a comeback but stuck in a creative rut, he plagiarizes some sketches by the son of a police officer and mails them to his publisher. When he realizes what he’s done, he turns to Elie, a found artist with a hint of kleptomania, to help get them back before he’s caught.

The film will be submitted to festivals across the country.

Auditions will be held in Cambridge during the day on Sunday 10/24. Please contact for details.

ROLES:

REID (35-50) — a loner who rarely talks about his former success.
ELLIE (25-30) — an outgoing, confident young “found” artist incapable of staying in one place.
CARL (35-50) — an easygoing police officer who doesn’t really connect with his artistic son, Rob.
FRAZER (40-60) — a tough, sarcastic police captain who has never warmed up to Reid.
ROB (14-18) — Carl’s nerdy teenage son who idolizes Reid for his past work.

AUDITION DATE: 10/24
