A student film group from Emerson College is looking for actors to appear in our short film on November 5th, 6th and 7th. Our film is for our advanced film class for juniors and will be operating with a complete crew and will be shooting on 16mm color film.
The premise involves a neurotic, Woody Allen type young woman, Jane, who witnesses an old man attempt to tie a balloon to his mailbox while on her way to work. The man loses the balloon and watches it float out of his reach with solemnity. Jane is so affected by this event that once at work, she annoys various co-workers by constructing a history of the man’s life and attributing symbolism to the balloon indicative of his lost love. The tone is both quirky and comedic and also poignant and sad.
