Free Casting Calls and Auditions

Bedford Off Broadway has scheduled SEASCAPE, a Pulitzer Prize winning drama by Edward Albee for their fall calendar. Tim Stanley will be directing this play.

Auditions will bbe held on August 5 & 6, 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Bedford Town Hall, Meeting House Rd., Bedford, NH

Rehearsals Tuesday and Wednesday nights 7:00 – 10:00 PM beginning August 12

Some Sunday Rehearsals may be required in September 12-5 pm

Show dates: Fridays & Saturdays October 17, 18, 24 & 25, 2008 8:00pm

Anyone wishing to audition should come at 7:00pm sharp either night and be prepared to stay the entire 2 hours. No appointments are necessary. There will not be call backs.

Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute monologue that showcases their talent and be prepared to do various selected cold readings from the script. Sides will be provided.

Cast Requirements (2 men & 2 women)

Nancy – middle aged woman (wife to Charlie) – should be able to look and act mid 50’s or older. Ideally a woman mid 50’s to 60’s would be perfect. Willing to “age” a strong actress with stage make up.

Charlie - middle aged man (Husband to Nancy) – should be able to look and act mid 50’s or older. Ideally a man mid 50’s to 60’s would be perfect. Willing to “age” a strong actor with stage make up.

Leslie – Male Lizard (mate to Sarah) – can be any age, must be physically able to move on all fours as well as upright with “lizard like” movements.

Sarah - Female Lizard (mate to Leslie) – can be any age, must be physically able to move on all fours as well as upright with “lizard like” movements.
