Actors and actresses needed for short independent film “Beat-less”
Flipbook Productions is currently working on its 2nd short film entitled “Beat-less.” The script was written by Tam Nguyen.
Auditions will be held in Boston on Tuesday, June 30th from 12-4pm, Thursday, July 2nd from 12pm – 4pm, and Friday, July 3rd from 12pm-4pm. The film is set to shoot on the weekend of July 24th.
Synopsis:
“Beat-less” is about a young man named Damien who finds employment in an unusual area – he cleans up crime scenes, however for criminals. Cleaning Strands of hair and finger prints, Damien does his best to assure that no one is found guilty in the end. But when the police catch Damien cleaning up after one murder, Deacon, a detective assigned to the case, interrogates Damien in an attempt to force a confession. Instead, Deacon explores Damien’s past and discovers a story of lost love and dirty laundry that has burdened him since he was a child.
Characters:
Damien: Ability to play young adult (18) and adult (mid 20’s) – Caucasian – Male – Cleaner that has the knack for cleaning up other people’s messes.
Deacon: Mid 40s – Caucasian – Male – Veteran detective that will be damned if a criminal thinks he can pull a fast one on him
Sarah: Ability to play young adult (18) and adult (mid 20’s) – Caucasion – Female – Attractive troublemaker who always finds a way of leaving a mess. CASTED
This is a non-union, non-paying acting job. Only actors and actresses who are not affiliated with a union and are prepared to contribute their talents on a strictly volunteer basis should apply.
