Seeking actors for student film “Do You Speak American?”
I’m an upper-division film student at UT seeking five
actors and one actress for a 16mm, non-dialogue short film. This is a
great opportunity to add a true film short to your reel and perform in a
serious, impactful role.
The short, entitled “Do You Speak American?” explores through
representational performance and sound the concept of how easily, in a
21st century world, we can lose who we are as individuals in the pursuit
of something larger than ourselves, and how love can be so difficult to
find in such a disconnected world.
SEEKING:
LEAD: Female (18-25)
SUPPORTING: 5 Males (20’s)
SHOOTING DATE: Sunday, October 4 from 11-5pm in an RTF studio on UT
campus (will probably be finished earlier).
AUDITIONS: Official audition time is from 12-6pm on Friday, October 2
(location TBD). All actresses need to audition for the lead female role.
If these times do not work, please contact me to request another. For
the male roles, if you cannot make the audition time, please include
sufficient links to previous work in your e-mail.
COMPENSATION: Lunch will be provided, as well as a free DVD copy of the
film upon completion.
