Free Casting Calls and Auditions

“In Between Extremes”

Open Casting Call Date and Location: Saturday, March 8th, at the
Dougherty Arts Center in Austin, from 10 - 2 PM. Please bring a headshot
and a resume.

Planned Shoot Dates: April 4-6
Location: Austin

Casting For Females With Lines:

Nancy – (20-30) - Nancy could be played by any ethnicity, she is a
biology major in-between semesters, attractive, smart, and she knows what she wants.

Carol – (20-30) – Caucasian or Hispanic – Carol doesn’t have many lines,
but has a dominate role in the short and is the X to Dallas (the lead).
She has a plain Jane look and must be able to ride a bike.

Kim - (20-30) - Caucasian– A party girl just out of college and on the
scene.

Bus Stop Girl - (20-25)

Stacy’s Mom - (35-60)

Casting For Males with lines:

Stacy (Male) - Caucasian or Hispanic - A long time friend to Dallas and
a local to Austin. He is a smart ass who still lives with his mother and
finds enjoyment in smoking weed and chasing tail.

Kelby (20-26) - A party animal with a little too much to drink in his
system.

We will be casting for many other rolls not listed.

This is a low-budget short, shot in HD, with nice equipment.

Cast is not paid.

Crew and Cast will receive a DVD copy of the short and food will be
provided on-set.

As the director I am looking for actors who wish to be seen in the film
festival circuit, want to practice and sharpen their skills as an actor
and who are open to improvisation. We plan on submitting it to various
film festivals and possibly pitching it as a T.V. series.
