Imagine That Productions is holding auditions for “House of Several Stories”
Imagine That Productions will be holding auditions for House of Several Stories: a tragedy in two acts of nonsense – a new play by A. John Boulanger, this year’s National Student Playwriting Award winner from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
Laura Lane (of TV’s The Nanny) stars in this absurdist comedy about an eccentric family and their unusual Thanksgiving guests. H.O.S.S. explores how stories, whether true, false, or borrowed, help fill the vacuum in our lives caused by death, loss and dysfunction.
We are looking for AGE-APPROPRIATE actors to fill the following roles:
Bastian – 32, (adopted) brother, vaguely cheerful, optimistically suicidal, unable to cry
Rissa – 35, sister, skittish, calculating, desperate for attention
Thom – 35, soldier, ruggedly angelic, dead but a smooth dancer
Abigail – 16, mysterious, mature for her age, a new mother
HOSS calls for an ensemble cast with a strong sense of high-comedic timing and rhythm, and one who is unafraid to unleash unbridled emotion.
Rehearsals begin June 16, with performances August 6-23. Actors will be compensated.
