Casting call for student film “Kevin & the Snake”

This is a short film for the Advanced Narrative class at UT, where the
class is designed to spend an entire semester on the short film, and
will be professionally mixed and budgeted to be submitted to Festivals.

A coming of age story as a young boy battles a monstrous snake with help
of his imaginary best friend, while his parents are oblivious to their
sons fictional world.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

KEVIN (8-11)
An imaginative kid who easily gets lost in his own
adventurous fantasies.

WHISKERS (male, 15-25)
Kevin’s imaginary friend. A supportive and wacky
imaginary friend. He is the best friend and hero to Kevin.

MOM (30-45)
Kevin’s mother. She still sees Kevin as her little angel,
and thinks his imagination is precious, albeit unusual

DAD (30-45)
Kevin’s Father. A man concerned with the affairs of the
world, he’s concerned about Kevin’s social life and worries he needs to
make real friends.

COMPENSATION:
-Meals and Snacks will be provided for rehearsals and shoot.
-Finished copy of the project in your preferred format.
-Exposure gained through Film Festivals and possible distribution
