Casting call for short film
Synopsis: A group of high school friends, who over the years have lost
touch, are reunited when one of the friend’s abusive relationship with
her husband goes too far. Her husband is dead and she risks going to
jail if the police are notified. How far would you go for friendship?
Characters:
Dan- A 20-30 year old alcoholic, abusive husband. This part calls for the actor playing
this role to be in a towel throughout the scene, so please be comfortable with
being shirtless. We’re looking for a strong, gruff male who can incite fear into the rest of the actors in the scene.
We are still looking to fill the role of Dan (as described above). Auditions will be sometime this next week (most likely Wednesday
evening); we will notify you through email to schedule a time for you to audition, and to send the sides to you. This is a low budget production
and therefore the positions are unpaid, but a copy of the film and food will be provided. We will be shooting sometime over the span of March
10th -March 18th in and around Austin. We will only be shooting for a portion of the week, but are unsure of the exact dates as of now.
