Casting Call for Short Film “For the Love of God” – Austin, TX
Casting Call Details:
“For the Love of God” follows mentally disturbed Johnny, who justifies each of his murders to himself by doing “the act of God”. He works his way through the Bible, killing sinners who display acts that are mentioned as wrong or “ungodly” in the Bible.
Johnny- Johnny is the main character of “For the Love of God”. Johnny is approximately 19, has dark brown hair, brown eyes, is short to average height, and very thin. Johnny’s parents were very Catholic and believed strongly in following closely under God’s influence. Johnny’s parents made him go to church weekly and spent a lot of time in Bible groups. He is very angry, timid, and quiet.
Guard- The Guard is the security guard of an insane asylum. He has a wife and a small daughter but isn’t close to his mother or father. He values his wife and his daughter more than anything else. He’s approximately 40 years old with blonde of light brown hair with blue or green eyes.
Priest- The Priest is the priest of a Catholic church. He is around 55 years old, tall, has silvery-gray hair, blue or green eyes, and a wise-looking face. He has no wife or children, but is very close with his mother. They live only a few miles apart and spend a lot of time going out to eat together. Priest’s father died when he was a young boy at the age of 14.
Prostitute- The Prostitute is a woman who has sex for money to support her son and her drug habit. She looks to be in her 20s to early 30s. She was never married and had her child as an accident when she was a teenager.
