Casting call for short drama “Cocaine” (Austin, TX)
The short is a drama about a man and a woman in the 1930’s who decide to commit suicide together via gas one night, fed up with their poverty. Filming will occur within a professional studio, in a multi-camera setup, with full set and lighting on the UT campus with talented UT films students as crew. Also, under the supervision of a professor with years of experience in the film industry.
SEEKING:
Joe: 20s-30s; old prizefighter; drug addict; tired of present situation with poverty; in love with
Nora: mid 20s-30s (early 30s preferable); prostitute; drug addict; poor; also tired of poverty/ working hard; also, in love with Joe
Auditions: Official auditions will be held this Friday, October 30th, between 1-4PM and Sunday, November 1st, between 8-12PM. Actors and actresses interested in auditioning, but are unable to make the official audition dates can negotiate a time and place with me.
Rehearsals will start the 7th of November and shooting will occur Monday, November 9th, between 2-9 PM, all of which will be held on the UT campus in the Communications B Building in Studio 4A.
Reimbursement: DVD Copy of the final cut of the project, food during rehearsals and principle photography, as well as experience within a multi-camera studio production environment/ setting.
