Casting Call for Independent Short Film “The Place is Haunted” (Austin, TX)
The Place is Haunted is a dry comedy that takes place among four
roommates when they find out that their house is haunted. This short
film is a small excerpt from a much larger feature film screenplay that
is still in the works.
CHARACTERS:
Alytzea: female, 18-21 years.
A cynical and outspoken theater student in her freshman year of college
who has been dealing with a recent breakup poorly.
Penny: female, 18-21 years.
A childlike and sweet girl who constantly plays the mediator between her
roommates. She has a strange inexplicable connection with the spirit.
Aiden: male, 18-21 years
A hipster theater student who commands attention wherever he goes
Simon: male, 18-21 years
A reserved architecture student with a biting sarcasm if provoked, but
also a flighty sense of romanticism

While we do not yet have a building secured for auditions, availability
will need to be during early January, 2010.
Unfortunately, this is unpaid work, but food will be provided as well as
a potential spot in the feature film.
