Austin, TX Casting Calls: Seeking Actors for Student Film “Aim and Avarice”

SYNOPSIS: “Aim and Avarice” is the story of a creative writing grad student, Ryan, who struggles to maintain his long distance relationship, please his faculty advisor, and resist the romantic advances of his talented undergrad student — all while trying to finish his novel.

RYAN (23-30)
Male, any ethnicity, was once passionate and hardworking, now a little beaten down and cynical, a serial procrastinator, an “everyman”, average.

SHEILA (18-22)
Female, any ethnicity, a precocious creative writing student, appears innocent but is actually quite manipulative, driven and ambitious

DR. RICHARDS (40+)
Male or female, any ethnicity, very intelligent, an english professor, stern and disciplined.

LEAH (23-30)
Female, any ethnicity, Ryan’s long distance girlfriend, organized, hard working, optimistic, smart.

AUDITIONS: Thursday, Nov. 4 at 8:00 pm in STUDIO 4D, CMB 4.122 on the UT Campus.

SHOOTING DATES: Shooting dates will be scheduled to accommodate the actors cast.
It will likely be ONE (not all) of the following dates:

Saturday Nov. 6th, Wednesday Nov. 10th, Friday Nov. 12th, Saturday Nov. 13th, or Sunday Nov. 14th. Please come to the auditions prepared to write down your availability for these days. (It should be a pretty quick shoot.)
