Final Expectations (working title)
Student casting for a 16mm short film in San Diego, CA. Jeffy Can will be directing this dramatic short, a look at a lonely and depressed middle aged man who posts an ad on craigslist for company, and receives a response from a much younger teenage girl. As sexual tensions and awkwardness build up, the true reason for the ad is revealed: a last cry for company before an attempted suicide.
Now casting:
Male, age 35-50, Must pass for middle aged. Preferably Caucasian, balding and unfit. Must be able to deliver lines multiple times.
Female, age 18-22, Fair hair and fair skin, naturally pretty but very modest looking. Must be able to deliver lines multiple times.
There will be no monetary compensation. Food will be provided, as well as a DVD copy of film and credit.
Actors must also sign release form, as the film will be submitted to festivals.
Shooting is tentatively scheduled for the evenings of November 7th and 8th, however dates are subject to change.
Scripts will be provided at time of audition. Lines are minimal, with no monologues.
