Casting notice for five-minute short film “Trapped”

A short film, by writer/director Valentin Soto Jr., film student at
the University of Texas at Arlington. This is a five-minute short film
that will be submitted to all major festivals.

Acting positions are unpaid, however, all actors will receive a DVD
copy of the work for their own uses upon the completion of editing.
Actors will also be provided with meals on set.

Casting dates/times/locations:
Monday, April 13th – University of Texas at Arlington, Fine Arts
Building, Room 155, 4pm-7pm

Synopsis:
James and Alexis are a couple that have been together for a few years.
They wake up in a hotel room after spending the night together. They
make their way to the elevator and get on. While on the elevator,
James turns to Alexis and ends the relationship. The elevator stops
and the two are trapped together with no way to get out. Through the
time trapped on the elevator, the two work through their problems and
are able to move on.

Film:
Film is heavily dependant on dialogue and emotion. The film centers
on these two characters trapped in a small-enclosed space.

Characters:
ALEXIS (F, EARLY 20’S-MID 20’S) –The girl next door, Alexis is kind,
naïve, and very emotional.

JAMES (M, MID 20’S- LATE 20’S) – James is laid back, kind of cold and
distant from Alexis. Later in the film shows his softer side.
