“The Ticket”
This TICKET is a short script that won the script writing competition ant the 2007 Delray Beach Film Festival. It will be shot by 5 different teams and compete for the best. It will be shown at the end of the festival. The winning entry will be allowed to show at other festivals. We are one of those teams.
You will be needed for two days, in Delray Beach. Should be fun!

HOMELESS MAN AKA THE GRIFTER – LATE 50′S EARLY 60′S, PROBABLY A VIETNAM VET, BEEFY WITH A GREAT GRUFF VOICE AND AN EERIE STILLNESS ABOUT HIM
WELL DRESSED MAN AKA HANK – 30′S-40′S WHITE, WELL MANICURED AND COIFED WITH AN AIR OF SUPERIORITY ABOUT HIM THE GUY NO-ONE REALLY LIKES, PROBABLY HAS A FOOT FETISH.
BARTENDER AKA THEO – 40′S STRONG WITH A COMMANDING PRESENCE CAN BE MALE OR FEMALE, LOYAL TO A FAULT
JACK – OUT OF TOWNER, EAST COAST SALESMAN AWAY FROM THE WIFE AND KIDS WAY TOO OFTEN, UNSATISFIED AND SEARCHING FOR A WAY OUT FROM UNDER ALL THE DEBT AND DISCONTENMENT IN HIS LIFE, MISSES HIS FAMILY TO THE POINT IT HURTS
REGULAR 1 AKA CHUBBS – 40′S ROUND AND PAUNCHY, PROBABLY A LINEMAN BACK IN THE GLORY DAYS, LOYAL TO GABE, ALWAYS TRYING TO IMPRESS THOSE AROUND HIM, PROBABLY MOVED BACK IN WITH MOM AFTER THE DIVORCE.
REGULAR 2 AKA GABE – 40′S ALPHA MALE WAS A QUARTERBACK AND STAR OF THE TOWN, NOW DOWNTRODDEN AND GONE TO SEED, STILL A LEADER, AGGRESIVE, LOVES TO FIGHT AND SMACK HIS UGLY WIFE AROUND.
CONVIENENCE STORE CLERK AKA SAMMY – TEENS-20′S SKINNY AND GOOFY KID, SMOKES WAY TOO MUCH POT, BUT HEY IF YOU NEED WEED 7-11 IS OPEN 24/7
